Connect your Inksea Player in minutes

Follow the steps below to unbox and connect your Inksea Media Player, join your Wi-Fi network, launch the display app, and pair it with your mobile device.

Your package includes the Inksea Media Player, a power adapter, an HDMI cable, and a remote control. The remote is already paired to your device out of the box — no setup needed.

Connect the Power Cable

Take the power adapter from your package and plug it into the USB-C power port on the Inksea Media Player. Then connect the other end to a wall socket or power strip near your TV.

Connect the HDMI Cable

Take the HDMI cable from your package and plug one end into the HDMI port on your Inksea Media Player. Connect the other end to any available HDMI port on your TV or monitor.

Make a note of which HDMI port number you use on your TV (e.g. HDMI 1, HDMI 2) — you will need to select that input source on your TV after powering on.

Power On & Select HDMI Input

Switch on the power at the wall socket. Then use your TV remote to select the correct HDMI input source — the one you connected the Inksea Player to. The Inksea Player will boot automatically within a few seconds.

Your Inksea remote control is already paired to the media player and ready to use straight out of the box — no additional setup required.

Navigate to Settings

Once your Inksea Player has booted, the home screen will appear showing the Favorites row. Use your remote to navigate to the Settings icon (the cog wheel) in the top-right corner and select it.

Open Network Settings

After powering on your Inksea Player, the device will boot to the home screen. Open Settings and navigate to Network & Internet. Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled. A list of available networks will appear on the right side of the screen.

Select your Network

Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list. The network you select will be highlighted. A password prompt will appear on screen.

Make sure to connect the Inksea Player to the same Wi-Fi network your mobile phone is connected to.

Enter your Wi-Fi Password

Use the on-screen keyboard to type your Wi-Fi password. Navigate with the remote control and select each character. When finished, move to Done and confirm.

Connecting to Wi-Fi

The device will now attempt to connect to your network. This usually takes a few seconds. Keep the screen in view until the confirmation message appears.

Connection Confirmed

Your Inksea Player is now connected to the internet. You'll see a brief confirmation message on screen before the device continues to the home screen.

Network Status

Back in the Network & Internet panel, your network now shows as Connected with excellent signal strength. You can now proceed to launch the Inksea app.

Go to the Home Screen

Press the Home button on your remote to return to the main screen. You will see the Inksea app in your Favorites row at the top.

Open the Inksea Display App

Select the Inksea Display app from the Favorites row and press confirm on your remote. The app will launch and your screen is now ready to be paired.

The app labelled "Inksea.art Display" in Favorites is the one you need — not the settings or other apps.

Your Pairing Code

The Inksea app will display a unique pairing code on your screen. This code connects your display to your mobile app. Keep this screen visible while you complete the next step on your phone.

Your pairing code is unique to your device. It will appear every time the app launches before pairing is complete.

Open the App & Add a Display

Open the Inksea app on your mobile device. Go to the Exhibit tab at the bottom of the screen. You will see "No displays found." — tap the Add a display button to start pairing.

Android users can find the app on Google Play. iPhone users can open it from the home screen shortcut.

Enter the Code & Pair

On the Display Pairing screen, enter the pairing code shown on your TV and tap Pair. Your screen and app will connect instantly.
