Connect your Inksea Player in minutes
Inksea has a native Android app available on the Google Play Store. Simply search for it and install — no workarounds needed.
There are actually two Inksea apps on the Play Store, each serving a different purpose:
Inksea.art
The main Inksea app for your phone. Collect, curate, and exhibit your digital artworks. Use this to manage your collection and pair with your display.
Inksea.art Display
The companion app for Android-powered screens and displays. If your screen runs Android and can install apps from the Google Play Store directly, you can install this instead of using the Inksea Art Player.
Inksea Art Player recommended: Even if your display supports the Google Play Store, we still recommend using the Inksea Art Player for maximum performance and the smoothest experience. The native Display app is a convenient alternative when the Art Player isn't an option.
For Android Users
On your Android phone (or Android-powered display), open the Google Play Store app.
Tap the search bar and type Inksea. You'll see two results from the developer PAKD:
Inksea.art — the main mobile app for collecting, curating, and exhibiting your art.
Inksea.art Display — the companion app for Android-powered screens (only needed if you're installing directly on your display instead of using the Inksea Art Player).
For iPhone Users (Progressive Web App via Safari)
The Inksea app for iPhone is a Progressive Web App (PWA). This means you install it directly from Safari — it lives on your Home Screen and opens just like any other app, with its own window and full-screen experience.
Important: You must use Safari for this process. The "Add to Home Screen" option is only available in Safari on iOS — it will not appear in Chrome, Firefox, or other browsers.
Open Safari & go to Inksea
Launch Safari on your iPhone and type the following URL into the address bar:
app.inksea.art
Wait for the page to fully load. You'll see the Inksea interface with the Collect, Curate, Exhibit, and Settings tabs at the bottom.
Tap the Share button
Tap the Share icon in Safari's toolbar — it's the square with an upward arrow, located at the bottom center of the screen.
A share sheet will slide up showing sharing options like AirDrop, Messages, and Mail.
Find "Add to Home Screen"
Scroll down in the share sheet past the sharing options and quick actions. Keep scrolling until you see Add to Home Screen with a + icon.
You may need to tap "View More" first to reveal it. Tap Add to Home Screen.
Confirm the name & enable Web App
A confirmation screen will appear. The name defaults to "Inksea.art" — keep it or rename it.
Make sure the "Open as Web App" toggle is switched on (green). This ensures Inksea opens in full screen.
Launch Inksea from your Home Screen
The Inksea.art icon now appears on your Home Screen alongside your other apps. Tap it to launch — it opens in full screen with no browser UI, just like a native app.
Good to know
Safari is required. Other browsers like Chrome or Brave won't show the "Add to Home Screen" option.
Full app experience. Once added, Inksea gets its own app switcher card and full-screen display — no browser UI.
To remove the app, long-press the icon and select "Remove Bookmark" — just like any other app.
